Next to the kitchens is the portrait leading to the cozy Hufflepuff Common Room. Inside, there are fat armchairs, little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories and round doors shaped like barrel tops.

Hidden behind a wall in the cellars is the Slytherin Common Room. Low backed black and dark green leather sofas with buttons, skulls, and dark wood cupboards lay dormant within. Only a Slytherin would truly enjoy this atmosphere.

To enter the Ravenclaw Tower, you must answer the question asked by the bonze eagle-shaped knocker on the door leading to the Common Room. If you get it wrong, you must wait for someone who gets it right.

Its inhabitants include the Giant Squid, grindylows, and a colony of Merpeople. The shores of the lake are surrounded by numerous willow trees, all aging by the century.

Hogwarts' grounds is broad, and most of it is covered by lush grass. Students can just take a breather here and relax, or those interested in more can have a picnic.

Surrounded by abundant flowers, the gardens always have a wonderful fragrance lingering in the air. This is a popular spot for couples; so don't cause any ruckus...

Located at number 93, the Weasley twins set up premises in Diagon Alley in 1996.

Built by Daisy Dodderidge around 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley", the Leaky Cauldron has remained a famous and popular place for five hundred years.

This shop, the closest one to the entrance from the alley behind the Leaky Cauldron, sells all sorts of cauldrons. Outside the shop, a stack of them shines in the sun, under a sign that reads: Cauldrons

Though far from the only wizarding clothier around, Madam Malkin's seems to be the best, as it is the place where most Hogwarts students purchase their robes.

A large wizarding bookshop filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling, Flourish & Blotts is the primary - and perhaps only - supplier of textbooks for Hogwarts, though of course that's far from all they sell. The shop holds occasional book-signings.

The Apothecary is a fascinating shop crammed with all sorts of interesting things. There are barrels of slimy stuff lined up on the floor and jars of all sorts of powders, herbs, and the like along the walls. Bundles of feathers, fangs, and claws hang from the ceiling. The whole place smells very bad, a mixture of bad eggs and rotten cabbage.

The headquarters of the Daily Prophet are located in Diagon Alley, as the newspaper instructs that letters to the editor should be sent here by owl.

A dimly lit shop which, according to the sign, sells tawny, screech, barn, brown, and snowy owls.

A very crowded pet store, noisy with the sounds of all the animals. The proprietor is a witch who wears heavy black spectacles. She offers advice and sells things like rat tonic.

The Atrium is an area that serves to welcome visitors to the Ministry of Magic.
